About Me.

Hi, I’m Rowana Parker – a freelance fashion, beauty, travel and lifestyle journalist based in Dubai.

Originally from Brighton, England, I grew up in the United States before moving to the UAE. I’ve also lived in Japan and New Zealand, experiences that continue to shape the way I write about style, beauty and travel through a global lens.

Today, I’m the Fashion and Beauty Contributor for Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, with bylines in Cosmopolitan Middle East and Savoir Flair, covering everything from luxury fashion trends and beauty culture to wellness, destinations and the people shaping them.

Before becoming a full-time journalist, I spent several years in luxury fashion, styling and communications. My experience includes roles at Tiffany & Co., Ocean Drive Magazine, Style Saves, and working as a celebrity stylist in Miami, before moving into public relations with Burson and Edelman, where I worked across brands including Meta, Expedia, SharkNinja, Samsung, and DP World.

Whether I’m reporting on the latest beauty conversation, uncovering emerging fashion trends or exploring the world’s most exciting destinations, I’m interested in the cultural stories behind what we wear, where we travel and how we live.
